Reducing Waste, Not Beauty: Our Sustainable Mandap Design for a Green Wedding

At Red Pearl Creations, we love creating unique and memorable experiences for our clients. We had the privilege of designing and setting up a beautiful wedding mandap at Shendish Manor for a lovely bride, Ushma Soneji. We wanted to create a space that reflected the natural garden theme of the venue. And also wanted to be eco-friendly and cost-effective.

THE GARDEN THEME

To bring in the natural garden theme, we designed an ivory draped mandap with fresh foliage. We used a variety of greenery, including eucalyptus, ferns, and salal to create a lush and organic backdrop. To add an extra element of beauty and to keep the cost down, we added in artificial roses. The artificial roses were a great option. They added a natural touch of colour and texture to the mandap while also being more cost-effective than using fresh roses.

Eco-friendly and cost-effective Centre-pieces

Continuing with the theme of being eco-friendly and cost-effective, we re-used the floral and foliage arrangements as centrepieces in the evening. Floral bases from the mandap were repurposed. There were coupled with hurricane vases to create floral wreath centrepieces. Aisleway lanterns were also repurposed as centrepieces This not only reduced waste but also added to the continuity of the natural garden theme throughout the wedding. The recycled arrangements were a hit with guests, who appreciated the sustainable and creative approach.

The bride, Ushma Soneji, was thrilled with the end result. The mandap was a beautiful and meaningful space that reflected her cultural traditions and her love of nature. Overall, it was the perfect backdrop for her wedding ceremony. We created a unique and unforgettable experience for her and her guests.

In addition, by using a combination of fresh foliage and artificial roses, we were able to create an impactful yet cost-effective design that made a lasting impression on everyone.
